Worthy of the Prize offers a fitness camp for women, like myself, who are looking for a workout group to keep them accountable. Worthy of the Prize Fit Camp is for women, ages 18 and up, who are looking to make a lifestyle change, a commitment to better health. Each camp runs 3 times a week, 4 weeks in a row, for a total of 12 sessions. Camp is self-paced and includes a combination of cardio, strength training/toning, stretching, core, and speed/agility set up in an interval training format to burn the most calories/fat in the shortest amount of time, more than you would burn if you worked out at a steady pace for the same amount of time. Campers should bring an excercise mat, a set of hand weights (I suggest starting with 5 lbs. and then moving up as needed), a jump rope (some women jump without the rope) and 32 oz. of water (water fountains are available). “This camp gets me motivated, gives me energy and is a lot of fun!” Leslie Williams, To Register:
As a mother of 2, with a husband who works, I know how hard it is to stay fit, all the while trying to keep up with a demanding schedule.
Worthy of the Prize Fit Camp is my solution. I can get up and get a workout in before my husband and children even wake up, which means I do not need childcare to make it happen. It is also great for working women because the workout is over before the real work begins.
And the best part of it all is that I get to workout in an uplifting environment with friends who inspire and motivate me. They push me to reach my goal of getting rid of the baby weight.
Campers are welcome to use the church showers/locker rooms, but must bring their own masterlock. Ladies of all ages, over 18, and all fitness levels are welcome. There are always options for modifying exercises to make them harder/easier to fit your personal fitness level. The more often you attend and the harder you work, the more results you will see. It also helps to eat right and workout on your days off. If you are worried about the early hour or the distance from your house, come try it for a day and you will see that it is not that bad and actually alot of fun!
